Your privacy matters. This page explains, in plain terms, what personal data Fashion Hairs by Carla Rodrigues collects through this site, what it's used for, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is the salon Fashion Hairs by Carla Rodrigues, located at Estrada Monumental n.º 418, Edifício Jardins, São Martinho, 9000-250 Funchal, Madeira.

2. What data we collect

Data you give us voluntarily: when you fill in the booking form, it opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message with the name, contact and service you entered. That data is sent by you, through WhatsApp, and we only use it to reply to and schedule your visit.
Browsing data: if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand, in an aggregated and anonymous way, how people use the site (pages viewed, device type, country). We don't personally identify you with this data.

3. What we use the data for, and the legal basis

Responding to booking and contact requests - legal basis: your pre-contractual steps and your interest in being attended to.
Analyzing and improving the site (Google Analytics) - legal basis: your consent, which you can give or refuse in the cookie notice and change whenever you like.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. On this site, non-essential cookies are only activated after you accept them in the notice that appears on your first visit.

Google Analytics (GA4) - measures visits in an aggregated way. It creates cookies such as _ga. It's only loaded if you accept cookies.

Google Maps - shows the map of the salon's location. When it loads, Google may set cookies. The map is only loaded after you accept cookies (or click to show it).

Google Fonts - the site's typefaces are served by Google; when they load, your IP address is shared with Google.

Local preferences - we store the language you chose and your decision about cookies in your browser. These stay only on your device and aren't used to track you.

You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and change your choice via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.

5. How long we keep the data

The booking messages we receive via WhatsApp are kept only for as long as needed to attend to you and for the normal running of the salon. Aggregated Google Analytics data is kept according to that tool's own settings.

6. Sharing with third parties

We don't sell or hand over your data. The only third parties involved are the services that make the site possible - Google (Analytics, Maps and Fonts) and WhatsApp / Meta (when you send the booking message) - which handle data under their own policies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at 961 300 213. You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, CNPD - the Portuguese Data Protection Authority.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy whenever necessary. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
